Melvin "Money Mel" Clark, a new face to the Hip Hop Industry. However, he's no stranger to spitting rhymes. Coming straight from the 818 area code.

Money Mel was born on August 10th, 1994, in Panorama City, Ca.  He was brought up listening to oldies but goodies such as, The Dramatics, The Temptations, Jackson 5, Al Green and many more thanks to his parents.

​

At the age of 3, barely speaking, he would make sounds closely aligned with songs from Sugar Free, Too Short, and DJ Quik. Mel had a voice, to which he was constantly complimented on by anyone, when he would sing.

​

His style is infused with sounds similar to late 90's Rap & Hip-Hop artist. He's got an old-school flavor with a new generational twist to attract a crowd of all ages.

Mel has a smooth sound, calming to the ears, whether it be on a club beat, or a song to steal your girl, he's got it.

On July 11th, 2016, tragedy stuck him. He was shot in the side, rupturing his stomach and intestines. Mel took months to fully recover. But he is a fighter, and his full story has yet to be written. He's writing this story in his music.
